Jean Larnaudie

The Jean Larnaudie Expertise

Anchored for more than 60 years in the Lot in Quercy, Jean Larnaudie is, above all, men and women committed to regional expertise and passionate about a dish that has become a must during the holiday season: Foie Gras.

In order to provide you with exceptional Foie Gras, special attention is paid to the quality of our raw materials and the selection of our foie gras. Expertise that is passed from generation to generation.

Your satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do, which is why we are always looking for new flavours to enhance and highlight our Foie Gras.

Quality is at the core of our job: High quality raw materials are indispensable in order to prepare a good foie gras.
We work closely with our suppliers, seeking to constantly improve their standards and specification, in order to continuously improve the quality of our recipes.

Furthermore, Jean Larnaudie has it own internal laboratory, with a team of two people carrying out daily inspections and quality control on every batch produced.

A strong bond to regional know-how: Our teams are dedicated to keeping the expertise of the South West of France alive. In fact, foie gras is still largely manually produced. Sorting the livers, deveining and packaging are all done by men and women who strive to produce quality products.  These steps are not improvised and our staff is trained by elders who transfer their experience to keep the regional expertise alive.

The South West PGI: The South West PGI or South West Protected Geographical Indication is a consumer guarantee that the duck was raised and processed in the South West of France.  It is also the guarantee of a high quality product, as every step, from farming to processing, is subject to strict specifications.  In fact, our ducks are raised outdoors and fed quality food that is controlled and regulated. Finally, production is carried out in accordance with the South West tradition.

Larnaudie has received 27 medals at the Concours Général Agricole since 2007!

Since 2007, Jean Larnaudie products are presented at this competition to showcase our expertise and the quality of our Foie Gras. Since then, 27 of our Foie Gras have received a medal.
The recognition of the quality of our products by our consumers is of utmost importance to us.  It is a reflection of our commitment to quality at all levels.

The Concours Général Agricole medals guarantee the taste of the product. Gold, silver or bronze is awarded after the product is tasted by an independent and voluntary jury, half of whom are professionals in related sectors, and the other half, savvy consumers.  If the quality of products presented is deemed insufficient, the judges do not have to award any medals.
